Mission

“Then he touched my mouth with it and said, ‘See, this has touched your lips; your guilt is taken away and your sin atoned for.’ Then I heard the voice of the Lord saying, ‘Whom shall I send? And who will go for us?’ And I said, ‘Here am I. Send me!’” – Isaiah 6:7-8 (NIV)

Hands of Hope Prison Ministry exists to empower and restore individuals impacted by incarceration. We strive to:

  • Bridge the gap between the incarcerated and the community through compassionate listening, meaningful dialogue, and genuine human connection.
  • Provide practical support by assisting with legal matters, facilitating communication, and connecting individuals with necessary resources both during and after incarceration.
  • Cultivate hope and healing through spiritual guidance, prayer support, and opportunities for personal growth and self-expression.
  • Showcase the humanity of incarcerated individuals by amplifying their voices through our “Prison Podcasts” series – where anyone is welcome to share their story – as well as through artwork, poetry, and other creative outlets on our social media platforms (YouTube, TikTok, and Twitter).
  • Advocate for systemic change that promotes rehabilitation, reduces recidivism, and fosters a more just and equitable society for all.

“We are hard pressed on every side, but not crushed; perplexed, but not in despair; persecuted, but not abandoned; struck down, but not destroyed. We always carry around in our body the death of Jesus, so that the life of Jesus may also be revealed in our body.” – 2 Corinthians 4:8-10 (NIV)

“Call to me and I will answer you and tell you great and unsearchable things you do not know.” – Jeremiah 33:3 (NIV)
